The Gambia Police Force has granted a permit to Gambians Against Looted Assets (GALA) to hold activities marking its first anniversary.

According to a statement issued on 14 May 2026, the permit was approved following a request submitted to the Office of the Inspector General of Police.

The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 15 May 2026, at the Youth Monument in Westfield, Kanifing, from 3pm to 8pm.

Police said the approval is subject to conditions intended to maintain public order, peace, and compliance with the laws of The Gambia.

The force urged organisers and participants to conduct themselves peacefully and adhere to the conditions attached to the permit.
