Police have issued a permit to APRC to hold a political rally today calling for the return of former president Jammeh.
The decision to grant a permit came late on Wednesday evening after security concerns were raised. However APRC were defiant and a spokesman said the party will go ahead with the plan rally “even without a permit”.
Jammeh, who ruled the Gambia for 22 years with an iron fist, had called on his supporters to rally for his return from exile.
He has been living in exile in Equatorial Guinea after being forced out by an Ecowas led military force following a shock election defeat in 2016.
