Police have launched a crackdown on trafficking of Kush drug and its related crimes in the Gambia
“The Gambia Police Force has taken decisive action against drug-related crimes in the Greater Banjul Area with the initiation of ‘Operation Fight Kush’ on February 27,” police said.
According to The Gambia police since commencement of the operation, it has yielded remarkable results, leading to the arrest of over two dozen individuals at various locations within Kanifing Municipality and beyond.
“These arrests were made in connection with possession of suspected controlled substances such as Tramadol pills, ‘Kush’, and suspected stolen smartphones, reportedly taken from ST’s musical concert, among other items. Individuals found in possession of suspected drugs have been promptly handed over to The Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) for further processing,” police added.
