Police have launched a crackdown on vehicles with no number plates and tinted glasses as they impounded dozens of vehicles within Greater Banjul.
Police said the operations aimed at impounding vehicles that do not meet the requirements of the Motor Traffic Regulations plying on public highways.
“The operation is currently underway at the “Ice-Man” in Kanifing and at the Denton Bridge. Drivers found to have violated the regulations will be prosecuted accordingly. Numerous vehicles have already been impounded for various violations, including failure to display number plates, improper number plates (printed laminated papers), and tinted windows of vehicles without clearance,” the police said.
The force has urged drivers to adhere to the motor traffic regulations, underscoring the importance of compliance with traffic laws for the safety of all road users.
