The Gambian leader Adama Barrow has extended his condolences to the family of 

the late ambassador Lamin Jobe.

Jobe who served as The Gambia’s ambassador to Guinea Bissau died in a Bissau hospital yesterday after a short illness.

He also served as trade minister before being deployed to Bissau.

“It is shocking to receive news of the sudden passing away of His Excellency, Lamin Jobe, The Gambia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea Bissau. 

“May his and all departed souls rest in eternal peace,” President Barrow said in a letter to the family.
