Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will make a state visit to The Gambia on Saturday, State House has announced.

“H. E. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye will visit The Gambia on Saturday, 20 April 2024, for a day’s visit. President Barrow will receive his esteemed guest at the Banjul International Airport at 10:00 AM and will accord him with complete protocol and diplomatic courtesies,” the statement said. 

President Adama Barrow welcomed the state visit and described the bilateral relations as “We are two countries, but one people.”

State House said Faye’s visit demonstrates the mutual interest in building stronger ties between the two countries.
