The pro-Jammeh APRC faction and GANU have signed a coalition agreement with Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) for the December 4 presidential election.

The pro-Jammeh faction led by Yahya Tamba signed the deal with Mama Kandeh at the Baobab Hotel in Bijilo late on Friday night.

There is much hope within GDC and APRC breakaway group of booting out Barrow in the upcoming presidential election.

Details of the deal is yet to be shared with the media.

The other APRC faction led by Fabakary Tombong Jatta has asked for the details to be made public.

The deal comes amid a bitter row within APRC that saw the party divided after former President Jammeh replaced his party’s executive for going into an alliance with President Barrow’s NPP party.

Jammeh accused them of betrayal and ordered that his supporters joined the newly formed GANU led by former justice minister Sheikh Tejan Hydara.
