Momodou B. Jallow, director general of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), has died suddenly in the United States of America.

Mr Jallow passed away on Tuesday. His cause of death is unknown and it’s unclear whether he was in the country for medical purposes or on vacation 

PURA said in a statement that his death was “a monumental loss to both the Authority and the country at large.”

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” it said, adding his burial arrangements will be announced soon.
