QTV journalist Ansumana S.O. Nyassi has been injured following a violent armed robbery attack at his residence in Latrikunda German in the early hours of Tuesday.

Nyassi was reportedly attacked after hearing unusual movements within his compound and stepping outside to investigate.

He was allegedly confronted by a group of unidentified armed youths who assaulted him during the incident.

During the attack, he sustained injuries, including a stab wound to his right hand, before the suspects fled the scene.

He was quickly rushed to Ndemban Clinic for emergency treatment and later referred to Kanifing General Hospital for further medical care.

He has since been discharged and is currently recovering at home.

Police in Latrikunda have confirmed that investigations have been launched into the incident.

Preliminary reports indicate that officers are working to identify those responsible and determine the full circumstances surrounding the attack.

The incident has raised concern among colleagues, media practitioners, and members of the public, with calls for improved security in residential areas and swift justice for the victim.

Police said investigations are ongoing as efforts continue to track down the attackers.
