President Barrow’s former national mobiliser Mrs Ramou Sabally has pledged allegiance to the opposition UDP at a ceremony in Manjai on Friday.

Mrs Sabally last weekend quit the president’s party to join UDP, a major coup  for the opposition party. 

She was unveil to the supporters at the party’s office to a rapturous welcome.

Ousainou Darboe, leader of the UDP, spoke highly of Mrs Sabally and said she was joining her father’s party.

“We welcome you to the United Democratic Party, a party whom you know your father, Lang Marong, established. 

“I do believe in what you said, that you will work for UDP and anyone who works for UDP is working for the country,” Mr Darboe said.
