Region 2 East emerged as champions of the Primary School Sports Association Inter-Regional Athletics Championship with a whopping 314 points to defend the crown they won last year.
Region 5 North surprisingly finished second with 267 points while Region 2 West settled for a 3rd place finish with 251 points.

Region 3 scooped the 4th position with 217 points, Region 1 disappointingly finished in 5th position with 211, Region 6 secured 6th with 202 points, Region 5 South 7th with 177 points and Region 4 languished on the bottom with 137 points.
Region 2 was the dominant region of the Primary Schools Sports Association’s annual inter-regional athletics competition that takes place on Independence Day every year.

Region 2 won the championship 17 times before the region split into Region 2 West and Region East. Since the division of the region last year, the East side won back-to-back titles.
Region 2 East pocketed home a cash prize of D50,000 as winners, Region 5 North took home D25,000 as first runners up and Region West D15,000 as second runners up.
