
Berewuleng Women’s FC forward Sarah Jarju was named Player of the Match following her outstanding performance in the team’s emphatic 5-1 victory over Sierra Leone’s Mogbwemo Queens FC in the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-A Qualifiers.
Sarah Jarju was instrumental in the victory, scoring four goals to complete a sensational individual display and fire the Gambian champions into the semifinals.
The prolific forward opened the scoring in the 15th minute before converting from the penalty spot in the 76th minute. She completed her hat-trick in the 84th minute and added her fourth deep into stoppage time.
She also turned provider for Berewuleng’s fourth goal, brilliantly setting up Ellen Gomez to make it 4-1. A four-goal performance, a Player of the Match award and a place in the semifinals as Sarah Jarju delivered when Berewuleng needed her most.
