Gambia’s Saaffiatou Sawaneh and Mariama Ginadou delivered a dominant performance to defeat Ghana 2 in straight sets at the 2025 CAVB Beach Volleyball Championship, currently being held in Morocco.

The Gambian duo controlled the first set with sharp coordination and aggressive play, winning it 21-16. They continued their momentum into the second set, fending off a strong Ghanaian comeback to edge it 22-20.

With the win, Sawaneh and Ginadou have taken a confident step forward in the tournament, raising hopes for a strong finish in this year’s continental showdown.
