Gambian defender Bubacarr Sanneh has signed a two year contract with FK Zvijezda 09 in Bosnia Herzegovina.

Sanneh who is fondly known as Timba spent some months playing with some Gambian clubs to regain his football finess before the deal.

He faced criticism for Scorpions first leg defeat to Mali’s national team during the AFCON qualifiers, as some fans blamed the Coach Tom Saintfiet for playing him without a club.

However, Bubacarr Sanneh proved himself as a topnotch defender during Scorpions second leg game with Mali national team that saw the Scorpions win a decisive victory to keep alive their dream of qualifying for the AFCON tournament.

His new club was founded in 2009 and is situated in the town of Ugljevik and ranked 12th in the Premier league of Bosnia Herzegovina.
