Hosts Senegal produced a dominant performance in the WAFU Zone A U-17 tournament, thrashing Sierra Leone 5–0.

Souleymane Commissaire Faye opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Cheikh Oumar Sy doubled Senegal’s advantage from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute.

Cheikh Oumar Sy struck again five minutes later to complete his brace and send Senegal into the break with a commanding 3–0 lead.

Amadou Assane Seck added Senegal’s fourth in the 50th minute, while Daoda Fofana Fall completed the rout in the 82nd minute.

The convincing victory keeps Senegal in strong contention in Group A ahead of their highly anticipated clash with The Gambia’s Scorplings on September 13th.
