Serekunda West will today (31 December) play against Bakau in Gambia Football Federation Super Nawettan cup final at the Independence Stadium.

Meanwhile, Serekunda East thrashed Sanyang with a convincing 3-0 victory to clinch the third place.

Three second half goals from substitutes Alagie Wally, Assan Jallow and Bala Lowe were enough for the East Bi side to secure their revenge over the Southerners in a thrilling encounter.

Serekunda East later went home with bronze medals and a cheque amounting to D100,000.

The team last won the championship cup in 2018 after edging Brikama 4-3 on penalty shoutouts.
