Local and International journalists have set their microphones as they await the nation’s Independent Electoral Commission’s chief Alieu Momar Njai to take his seat.

Polls closed at 5pm as counting continued until around 8pm.

Any moment from now, results will start trickling in on the desk of the nation’s election returning officer, Alieu Momar Njai.

Six candidates including the incumbent Adama Barrow are contesting for the country’s highest job.
