The state has asked for more time to file murder charge against Kumba Sinyan at the high court.
Sinyan is accused of killing her boyfriend, Lamarana Jallow, at the Friendship hostel in Bakau in September.
However she is yet to be formally charged with any crime even though she is in remand at Mile 2 prison.
At a high court hearing today, the state counsel Lamin Jarju asked for an adjournment to give them more time to prepare their case against the accused.
Kumba Sinyan’s defence lawyer, Sagarr Twum, objected to the state’s request for adjournment, adding that her client has been detained for a long time without charge.
But state counsel Lamin Jarju interjected to tell the court that it was not the state that detained the accused.
Justice Seedy Jobarteh granted the request and adjourned the case to November 16.
