A State House guard has died after their security convoy got involved in a tragic accident around Pakaliba bridge.

Corporal Mikai Jallow is said to have died on the spot while others were rushed to Soma District Hospital and Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital for further medication.

He was part of a security team escorting President Adama Barrow on his nationwide tour. 

“The President had directed that all needed care be given for their speedy recovery and healing,” State House said. 

“Corporal Mikai Jallow’s body has been transferred to Farafenni, and his family has been informed in preparation for the burial in due course. Corporal Jallow was a gallant officer dedicated to duty.”
