
Gambian teenage sensation and central referee, Muhammed Sanneh, has been selected as one of the 24 young referees and assistant referees in Africa to officiate at the African School Football Championship in Accra, Ghana, from April 23rd to 26th.
The 18-year-old Sanneh, a student at Charles Jow Upper and Senior Secondary School, first gained attention for his officiating during the GFF/CAF U-15 Pan African School Football Tournament in The Gambia.

Sanneh impressed the football community with his competent officiating in the WAFU A and CAF African Schools Football Championship Finals. His communication skills, understanding of the game, and athleticism have captivated many people across the continent.

Meanwhile, the Gambia U-15 female team will represent WAFU A after their thrilling 4-3 victory in a penalty shootout against Guinea, following a tense goalless draw in regulation time during the regional final in Senegal.
