Tension grows as residents of Busura vowed to attack Taloko in three weeks if government fails to resolve their land dispute. 

Luta Jatta, spokesman for Busura village residents, told reporters that the villagers will take matter into their hands if a solution is not found soon. 

“We will attack Talokoto. I have already talked to my boys. We will attack Talokoto,” he said.

“In two or three weeks if the government does not act whatever they hear they are the cause,” he added.

According to the village head Alieu K. Faye, the land dispute started in 2015.

“The Alkalo of Talokoto Olimatou Colley and her people are the ones selling our lands. When I was given the report as an Alkalo. I also reported the matter to the then Chief, Dembo Keleng Bojang (Late),” he said.

The Alkalo of Talokoto Olimatou Colley has been contacted for comment.
