The Scorpions have arrived safely in Congo Kinshasa after leaving Banjul this morning on a charter Boeing 737 VIP Jet. 

The team will play the Democratic Republic of Congo in their final AFCON qualifying match at the Stade des Martyrs on Monday.

The Scorpions have already secured qualification to next year’s AFCON tournament in Cameroon. 

They are on 10 points levelled with Gabon and will be seeking a victory against the Leopards of Congo to secure top spot in Group D as well as improve their FIFA World Rankings.

DR Congo and Angola have been eliminated from qualification after picking up six points and a point, respectively.
