Three people have died in a tragic road accident in Munyagen village in Jokadou and one person hospitalised at the Essau District Hospital.
The accident happened today (6 April) after a head-on collision between a truck and a taxi.
“Three people died on the spot and one is in critical condition. The dead and injured were taken to Essau District Hospital,” an eye witness told Gambiana.
The taxi driver has been identified as a 54-year-old man of Kerr Alagie Malick. It is not clear whether he was among the dead.
The accident happened less than a week after another fatal collision claimed the lives of five people in Berending in Lower Nuimi.
Police spokesman could not be reached for comment.
