TMT Football Club have officially appointed Omar Cham as the new Head Coach of their Male Senior Team ahead of the 2026/27 GFF First Division season.

The experienced tactician joins TMT on a permanent basis after an impressive spell with The Gambian Dutch Lions FC, where he guided the club from the Second Division to the First Division and successfully maintained their top-flight status for the past two seasons.

Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, TMT FC Vice President Lamin Bojang expressed confidence in the club’s new appointment.

“We are delighted to welcome Coach Omar Cham to TMT Football Club. We have complete confidence in his ability to lead the team and believe his experience, professionalism, and disciplinary values make him the right person for this role.”

Coach Cham thanked the club’s leadership for the confidence shown in him and outlined his football philosophy. “I would like to thank the President, Mr. Omar H.O. Saidykhan, and the management of TMT Football Club for placing their trust in me. I am honoured by this opportunity and fully prepared for the challenge ahead.”

“My philosophy is centred on discipline, professionalism, hard work, and the development of young players. If we remain united, uphold high standards, and work together with commitment and accountability, I am confident we can build a team that our supporters will be proud of.” Omar Cham added afterwards.

TMT FC also confirmed that Ousman Sawaneh, who served as Interim Head Coach during the transition period, will continue with the club as Assistant Coach, working alongside Omar Cham as part of the technical team.
