The Truth Reconciliation and Reparations Commission (TRRC) has on Wednesday suspended public hearings for 21 days.

This comes after government instituted a ban on all public gatherings.

Dr Lamin Sise, chair of the commission, said:”the Gambia government suspension or cancellations of  public gatherings affects us, and we will be suspending public hearings throughout the 21 days.”

The Gambia on Tuesday confirmed its first case of the deadly coronavirus.

The victim is a U.K. based Gambian woman in her 20s who entered the country last Sunday.
