The detained owner of Trumpet online  newspaper is likely to spend the night in police detention. 

Fabakary B Ceesay was arrested today  (12 December) and detained at the police headquarters in Banjul.

Police declined to reveal reasons of his arrest.

A source told Gambiana that journalist Fabakary B Ceesay is still detained at the police headquarters pending investigation.

Journalists still face arrest and detention under Barrow government after dozen of them were exiled under former president Yahya who currently lives in exile in Equatorial Guinea.
