The Finance Minister Mambury Njie and his colleague, Energy Minister Fafa Sanyang, have fully recovered from coronavirus, says Government spokesman. 

The two cabinet ministers, who tested positive for the virus on August 1, were given the all clear after their repeat tests turned negative.

Government spokesman Ebrima Sankareh said in a press statement: “Accordingly, both ministers have since been discharged and can report to work as they are both well and asymptomatic.”

The Government urged the public to continue following the health regulations and guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Health Ministry and World Health Organization on the Covid-19 pandemic.
