Two coronavirus patients have received psychological support to help them cope with the trauma of their illness, the Ministry of Health has announced.

The announcement comes as one new Covid-19 related death was registered. A 72-year-old man with an underlying health problem is the latest victim of the virus.

“Two new Covid-19 patients received psychological first aid services this week. A total of 133 Covid-19 related psychotherapy/trauma counselling/trauma therapy provided to 63 clients by the psychosocial branch of the response team,” the Health ministry said.

No new cases were registered and six patients in self-isolation discharged by the virtual clinics after making full recovery.
