Police in Kalagi are investigating a fatal road accident involving a GTSU bus, registration number KM 4845 K, travelling from Bwiam towards Soma.

According to preliminary findings, the driver lost control of the vehicle upon reaching Kalagi, causing it to veer off the road. Several passengers sustained injuries and were taken to the Kalagi Health Centre for treatment.

Two fatalities have been confirmed: Yahya Mballow, 29, of Wellingara Kejew and an unidentified female passenger. 

Authorities are urging motorists to drive with caution, observe speed limits, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy at all times.
