Two students have been injured in a fire at a Quranic school in Sinchu Alagie, officials have confirmed.

The blaze broke out on early Sunday, leaving both students with burn injuries.

They were taken to hospital for treatment. Their condition is not yet known.

Police said an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.

They have urged similar institutions to review and strengthen fire safety measures to help prevent future incidents.
