Police have arrested two suspected drug traffickers with suitcases filled with cannabis at Yelli-Tenda checkpoint.

The men identified as Saikou Omar Sanneh and Bamba Badjie were traveling from the Southern Senegalese region of Casamance. 

According to the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG), Saikou Omar Sanneh claimed to be a farmer while 25-year-old Bamba Badjie claimed to be a driver. 

Both men are residents of Casamance. 

Saikou Omar Sanneh was arrested with 10 big bundles of suspected cannabis sativa concealed in a black and red coloured suitcase.

Bamba Badjie was also arrested with 10 big bundles of suspected cannabis sativa concealed in a brown and red coloured suitcase, the agency added
