Two young men have tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident in the Upper River Region.

Malick Sillah, 29, and Muhammed Touray, 24, were among a football team traveling home from Basse when their vehicle crashed between Saja Kunda and Waliba Kunda at approximately 18:50 hours.

“Tragically, the driver, Malick Sillah, and a passenger, Muhammed Touray, both of Fatoto, lost their lives at the scene,” police said.

Other injured passengers have been taken to Basse District Hospital for medical attention, with some later referred to Bansang Hospital for further treatment.
