
A U.S. tourist visiting The Gambia has been left with multiple bite injuries after being attacked by two robbers in Kerr Serigne, where he has been residing since arriving in the country.
Alex, who is on his second visit to The Gambia, was attacked by two robbers in the early hours of Saturday while out for a morning stroll in the sun.
“I was walking in the early morning around 7 a.m., and I got attacked,” he told Gambiana.
Despite resisting his attackers, Alex was savagely bitten multiple times and robbed of 2,500 dalasis in cash. His mobile phone was also badly damaged.

“He bit me here, here, and here,” Alex added, pointing to bite wounds on his chest, arm, and ear.
This is not the first time Alex has been attacked since visiting the country. He was previously assaulted on two other occasions
However, this time, he has reported the incident to the police and is considering arming himself for protection.
“I am tired of these robbers. They are destroying the name of this country,” he said.
