United Democratic Party has accused President Barrow’s National People’s Party of bribing voters with money in the just concluded presidential election. 

The opposition party today begins its legal challenge at the Supreme Court in Banjul to dispute the December 4 presidential election results. 

The party is asking the court to annul the results and called for a new presidential election.

In the court petition, UDP accused President Adama Barrow and members of his National People’s Party of bribing voters by giving them money, cooking utensils and milling machines. 

It also alleged that non-citizens were inserted in the register of voters in the length and breadth of the country.
