Shockwaves hit the United Democratic Party (UDP) as senior officials Tombong Saidy and Baboucarr Loppy Jammeh resigned, citing clashes with party leadership and direction.
The letters, addressed to the party’s Senior Administrative Secretary, make their departures official from Thursday, 11th September 2025.
Saidy and Jammeh, both influential voices, felt sidelined in decision-making and disagreed with recent strategic choices.
The pair were key in shaping policies and rallying grassroots support.
The UDP has yet to respond publicly. Sources indicate senior officials are holding emergency talks to manage the fallout.
