The leader of United Democratic Party has touted his nationwide tour crowd as a sign of his victory for the December presidential election

Lawyer Ousainou Darboe who began his two week tour on Monday, said: “what I have seen is a sign, and a very good sign, even those children in school who are not yet 11 years of age are all saying UDP [will win].”

Mr Darboe said his government will provide sufficient fertilisers to farmers adding that no extra fertilisers will be sold to other countries.

He promised to provide modern farming equipment for the farmers and rebuild and support the country’s health sector.

“My government contract works will provide 25% job opportunities for the youths.

“Even contracts that are awarded to foreign companies we will insist that 25% of the employees must be Gambians.

“As I said in the five-point agenda no matter how strong or important [your idea is], you cannot utilise it without forming a government, and you cannot form a government without voting for the UDP.”

He called on the people of lower Nuimi to vote for him in December presidential election in order to “free the country from bad leadership and rampant corruption”.
