The opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) has expelled eight of its National Assembly members as the infighting gets brutal.

The expelled parliamentarians were being accused of working against the interest of their party by supporting President Adama Barrow.

Fatoumatta Jawara, NAM for Talinding, Alagie Jawara, NAM Lowe Baddibou, Billay Tunkara, NAM Kantora, Abdoulie Ceesay, NAM Old Yundum, Saikouba Jarju, NAM Busumbala, Saikou Marong, NAM Latrikunda Sabidji, Baba Galleh Jallow, NAM Sanneh Mentereng and Omar Darboe, NAM Upper Niumi were named as the expelled MPs.

The party has not yet made any statement about the expulsion.
