Less than 24 hours before The Gambia’s final FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Seychelles, uncertainty looms over the Scorpions’ preparations after reports emerged that players have boycotted training in Mauritius.
The squad is said to be protesting over unpaid allowances spanning three consecutive camps, as well as expressing frustration over poor travel arrangements from Kenya to Mauritius.
Efforts to obtain comments from players and Gambia Football Federation (GFF) officials proved unsuccessful, as all declined to speak on the matter.
