The Gambia Football Federation First Division title race continues to heat up as crucial fixtures today could reshape the standings at both ends of the table.

The headline clash is the West Coast Derby at Box Bar Mini Stadium, where Brikama United face Fortune FC. Both teams sit on 38 points, just three behind leaders Medina United on 41, making the derby a key battle in the race for the title.

Another major fixture sees Gambia Ports Authority FC, who are second on 40 points, take on Bombada FC at Basori. Bombada trail GPA by just two points, adding further pressure to an already crowded top four.

League leaders Medina United travel to Kabakel to face Greater Tomorrow FC, aiming to protect their slim advantage at the summit, while Real de Banjul remain in contention as they face BST Galaxy in Bakau.

Elsewhere, Team Rhino host Falcons FC, Hart FC take on TMT FC in Soma, Gambian Dutch Lions face Hawks FC in Faraba, and Samger FC meet Steve Biko FC at Goal Project.

With only a few points separating the leading contenders, today’s matches could prove decisive in the closing stages of the season.
