Yalding Upper Basic School have been crowned champions of the Region Two West Gambia Schools Football Qualifiers after edging Penyem Upper Basic School on penalties on Tuesday.

Penyem took an early lead through Ensa Kujabi, who found the back of the net in the 13th minute.

Yalding responded strongly, with Musa Kandeh restoring parity in the 34th minute to make it 1–1.

Neither side could find a winner in regulation time, sending the contest to a penalty shootout, where Yalding Upper Basic School held their nerve to win 5–4 and lift the Region Two West crown.
