The All Inclusive Party (AIP), led by US-based professional accountant Yiramang Darboe, has withdrawn from the presidential nomination process, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has announced.

IEC Chairman Joseph Colley confirmed the development, saying the party had formally communicated its decision not to proceed with the nomination.

“All Inclusive Party (AIP) has communicated officially to the IEC that they will no longer come for the nomination,” Colley said.

The withdrawal means AIP will not present its candidate for nomination as scheduled this morning, when the party was expected to become the first political party to appear before the Commission ahead of the December 5, 2026, presidential election.

The development comes as the IEC continues its presidential nomination exercise, scheduled to run from November 3 to November 14.
