A flight carrying at least 35 Gambian deportees from Germany has taken off for Banjul international Airport, Gambiana has been reliably informed.

“The flight left Germany already. [About] 35 Gambians are expected to land at Banjul Airport. Arrival time at 2:30am [on Wednesday],” Yahya Sonko, a Gambian migrant rights activist said.

Early today, Gambiana reported that 11 Gambians had been taken to an airport in Germany awaiting to be deported while 12 others are currently held in police detention.
