At least 12 Gambian migrants arrested in Germany as 11 others are being bundled waiting to be deported back to the Gambia.

Dozens of Gambians have been deported from European countries amid report that the Barrow government has signed a deal with the EU.

Yahya Sonko, Gambian migrant rights activist based in Germany, said: “already 11 people are at the airport and 12 others arrested by police have been taken to court for a judge to give them deportation orders.”

“They didn’t commit a crime in Germany.

Most of them said police informed them that we taking you home because your government signed a deportation deal with EU and Germany gave lots of money for that deal,” he added.
