Darboe Jula real estate agency’s owner has agreed to settle a payment to an African-American returnee after two years of litigation.

Mrs Carla Morris sued the real estate and its chief executive officer Lamin Darboe for “breach of contract” at the Banjul high court over a property in Kombo Sanyang worth 1.6 million dalasi.

She demanded the court to compel the real estate’s owner to pay her damages for the breach of contract.

Mrs Morris also demanded 250,000 dalasi as legal and administrative costs.

However, Lamin Darboe through his lawyer B Secka told the court that his client does not want to continue with litigation of the case as they opt for out of court settlment.

Meanwhile, Mrs Carla Morris told Gambiana exclusively today (12 December) that Darboe Jula real estate agency owner Lamin Darboe should pay the agreed amount.
