The crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of the last Islamic month and Eid ul-Adha 2024 will be celebrated in the Arab nation on Sunday (16 June 2024). 

The key moonsighting locations were in Sudair and Tumair as Supreme Court mostly finalises its decisions based on those reports.

Moonsighting are also scheduled for other nations on the 29th day of the month of Dhul Qadah. 

Muslims in several countries, including the Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria, Mali, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq, are expected to look for the crescent moon on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
