A woman identified as Sainabou Gaye has been killed in a fatal crash involving a Gambia Armed Forces vehicle in Busumbala.

Details surrounding her death remain scarce, but the army says its military police are investigating the incident.

“The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) regrets to announce that one of its vehicles, with registration number GAF 53, was involved in a fatal road traffic accident in the early hours of Tuesday, 22 April 2025.

“The accident occurred at the ‘Njogu Bah’ Junction in Busumbala and involved one Sainabou Gaye,” the army said in a statement.
