Former Gambian Vice President Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang is intensifying her presidential ambitions for the 2026 elections with a major engagement targeting young voters and digital voices.

Tambajang will host “A Chat with Youth Influencers” on 9 December at Bakadaji Hotel in Kololi, bringing together youth leaders, content creators and online influencers as she seeks to build momentum for her bid.

The event forms part of her broader outreach strategy aimed at positioning herself as the candidate most committed to addressing the concerns of young Gambians, a key voting bloc in the upcoming polls.

During the three-hour session, Tambajang is expected to outline her youth-centred vision for the country, including plans to reform the Youth Service Scheme to promote civic responsibility, strengthen the National Youth Council, and expand skills development through institutions such as MDI and GTTI.

She will also present proposals to support youth entrepreneurship by boosting access to financing, mentorship and business training,  policies she argues are essential for reducing unemployment and unlocking young Gambians’ economic potential.

The forum will provide influencers with an opportunity to question her directly on national issues, share their views on governance, and contribute ideas to shape her policy platforms.

Tambajang’s campaign team says the dialogue underscores her commitment to making youth engagement a defining feature of her 2026 presidential run.
