Ex-police commanding officer Lamin Ndong has died in Tujereng, West Coast Region.

According to the police, the deceased had served as handwriting and fingerprints expert for the Gambia Police Force until his retirement.

“The Office of the Inspector General of Police, the entire Management and staff of the Gambia Police Force, regret to announce the sudden demise of Ex Superintendent of Police Lamin Ndong former commanding officer of the Criminal Records Office, who passed away today Thursday 23rd June 2022 in Tujereng, West Coast Region.

“This sad news is extended to The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed and Security Services, His Excellency Mr Adama Barrow, Vice President, His Excellency Dr Alieu Badara Joof, the Minister of Interior Hon. Seyaka Sonko, Service Chiefs, friends and relatives in The Gambia and abroad. 

“He was laid to rest at his home village in Tujereng on the same day Thursday 23rd June 2022 at 14:00hrs,” the police said.
