Gambia have announced their 27-man squad for the African Cup of Nations which kicks off next Saturday (13 January) in Ivory Coast.

The Scorpions are looking for a repeat of their successful AFCON debut in Cameroon where they reached the quarterfinals. 

The team opens their AFCON campaign on Monday 15 January against neighbours and defending champion Senegal. 

Gambia is Group C along Senegal, Cameron and Guinea, a group seen by many as the group of death. 

Coach Tom Sainfiet has named his final squad for the tournament. See below:
