Two Gambian Armed Forces officer cadets have excelled in their military training after achieving distinction from the UK’s elite military academies.

Officer Cadet Mamadou B Jallow passed out of Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth while Officer Cadet Ebrima Gaye passed out of Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. 

Officer Cadet Mamadou B Jallow graduated on 15 December 2022 with a strong report and top of his intake in physical and research disciplines. 

And Officer Cadet Ebrima Gaye passed out of Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on 16 December 2022 with top overseas awards: the International Award, International Sword, and a recommendation to return to Sandhurst as an instructor later in his career.

“The British High Commission and the British Defence Section send their sincere congratulations to two Gambian Armed Forces officer cadets after successfully completing their initial officer training in the UK, at two of the world’s most prestigious armed forces academies. 

“The two officers have worked hard on tough courses over the last year and have achieved distinction,” the British High Commission said in a statement.
